Nearby, off Punta Ancla and Punta Cigueña and adjacent to channel buoys 19 and 21 are two SPM buoys used by tankers discharging and loading crude oil to and from the adjacent Oil Tanking Ebytem farm and/or pipeline for local distribution. The tank capacity is 480.000 cbm. The buoys are served by 12" pipelines permitting unloading rates of around 2400-2600 cbm.

SINGLE MOORING BUOY "PUNTA CIGUEÑA"
Crude oil carriers with D.W 70.000 T. and up to D.W. 100.000 T., should have Pilot on board and tug boat by stern with line fast through the whole stay in spite of ammount of crude oil to load and/or discharge. The Pilot and tug boat (minimum 2.600 HP or 30 T.of Bollard Pull) will be ordered and payed out by the Owner / Charterer / Freighter / Agency. The mooring should be done with day light.
Connecting flange: 12" ANSI 150. Hose hoist system: SWL = 10 T. Distance bow/central manifold: maximum 130 m. Inert gases : compulsory.
Segregated ballast: compulsory. Bow stopper: compulsory - OCIMF 03 -CHAIN: 54 O 76 MM. Maximum back pressure on discharging at manifold: 7.00 Kg/cm2. Solas 74 and Amendments: compulsory. Marpol 73 & 78 - Amendments: compulsory. Recomendations ISGOTT 96 : compulsory.

To operate with crude oil carriers up to D.W = 67.500 T. (at maximum summer draft), limited to hydrometeorological conditions.
